  7.     Remember when people were afraid of their personal computers? Today they're 
  8. trying to get to know them better, according to a survey by Logitech of Silicon 
  9. Valley. Most respondents said that not only were their computers valuable aids 
  10. on the job (98%), but they looked at their PCs as personal "companions."

  12.   Some users have gone so far as to give their PCs a personality (13%) and a 
  13. pet name (9%). What's next? Users are waiting for the day their pet PCs can 
  14. recognize and respond to their voices and their handwriting.
